Monbulk
Rural Enterprises Pty Ltd has been involved in greenhouse manufacturing
since January 1986. We are designers and erectors of commercial and domestic
greenhouses, importers of plastic greenhouse films, Horticraft bird netting
and distributors of shadecloth and nursery supplies. |

| Michael Arnott came to Monbulk in 1985,
and in 1986 began manufacturing greenhouses from rented premises in
Macclesfield Road. The business expanded rapidly due to innovative
building techniques - using square section galvanised steel instead
of the round section tube used previously, thus reducing costs. Monbulk
Rural specialised in building greenhouses to suit growers' requirements,
making them wider and better utilising floor space. |

The business was purchased from its main competitor Horticraft Australia and moved to the current site
in Old Emerald Road.
Michael and Angela were joined by Michael's brother David and his wife Pauline when Monbulk Rural became a family operated business in 1991.
